His letter reflects on College life: ‘I received your kind letter this morning & the wine yesterday. I have not opened it yet as I am having the lock of my wine closet repaired. We have a very good dinner at the … table - joints, pies, puddings etc and in my opinion the meat is as warm as the pensioners! It is at our table in a hot water dish and the fellows’ dinner is always brought into hall after the others..’ Small paper loss and minor defect in margin.
