View of Naples from the Carme on a letter of 1837 posted from Naples to Mrs. Colonel Macpherson in Ardesier, carried by hand to London, headed by lithograph of Naples from the Convent of the Carmine to which the writer has added manuscript notations indicating (from left to right) the Casetl del Nuovo, the Lighthouse, a fishing boat, the Shrine of St. Januarius, Patron Saint of Naples, with a Lazzaroni bending before him, a priest, lamps, Corricols which 11 people can ride, a lemonade stall and a private house.
