A double sided folded flyer with woodcut illustration of crowd before prison gates with three sides of text and verses. James Read, a bookkeeper at London Docks, was executed on 4th December 1894 for the murder of one of several mistresses, Florence Dennis, aged 18, who was found shot in a field in Prittlewell. He was hanged at Springfield Prison in Chelmsford.
