Printed invoice with ms insertions and engraving of exterior and distances at foot printed for J. Broadbent on paper watermarked 1818. One of the first regular coaches to London started from Leeds in 1760, taking three days for the journey and breakfasting at this inn. The “Hope” to Leeds and Sheffield also called here ***

Two ms invoices printed for Edward Hirst, the earlier with sun vignette, corn and grapes with distances at foot printed by R. Blackburn and the latter plainer in style but still with distances (three miles less to Huddersfield!) by Atkinson, both *** (minor defects to margins of former)
